"I wondered, for the first time in my life, if life was worth all the work it took to live. What exactly made it worth it? What's so horrible about being dead forever, and not feeling anything, and not even dreaming? What's so great about feeling and dreaming?"

Mr Roth and I have a bit of a love/hate relationship. Hate in that I really really don’t like his writing and love in that he loves being relevant to my chosen topics of study. Saying that, The Plot Against America is the best book I’ve read of his so far.

I am very much looking forward to reading this one.
Somebody had it with them in the British Library the other day, and as people tend to only take in what they need for study in the reading rooms, I’m hoping that this person is writing and researching something to do with this book/one or more of its writers!
