"I wondered, for the first time in my life, if life was worth all the work it took to live. What exactly made it worth it? What's so horrible about being dead forever, and not feeling anything, and not even dreaming? What's so great about feeling and dreaming?"
- Jonathan Safran Foer (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close)

It’s 7.51 am

I haven’t been to bed. But I am currently printing out my MA dissertation. I am feeling something like relief, mixed with fear that my ink will run out before I’ve finished printing 2 copies of 47 pages each.

Normal tumblring to resume shortly. Thank you for your patience!

A few of my more recent purchases. The Orson Scott Card and Hannah Arendt are both related to my dissertation so I’ll definitely be reading them soon, and the rest I hope to read before the end of the summer.

Unusually for me, four of the five books were bought new (I’m a big secondhand buyer). The Smith was from Oxfam, in pristine condition for only £1.99 which is far cheaper than any deals I’ve found online, and I get to help a charity out too. That always makes me happy!
